What are you nuts for? Eggie can't help it and just thinks of NUTS, of course!
As the rest of squirrels, he spends his time jumping from tree to tree in search for nuts and other yummy things to eat during the winter. Once he finds them he buries them in the ground so he can find them later!
Go to the Have Fun Corner and find the free coloring pages we have there for you!
Last week I was interviewed by Gary Axelbank for The Bronx Buzz at Bronxnet TV. We talked about "Eggie's Adventures at Poe Cottage" and it was as always a pleasure to chat with Gary for a little bit!

Eggie and I want to thank you because since I got the New Work Grant from the Bronx Council on the Arts, it has been a non stop road. I decided to go for the Kickstarter campaign to self-publish the book, and we made it!
It has been months of hard work, illustrating, editing, learning about many things I had no idea in order to print the book. Creating a whole marketing campaign and harassing many people to pre-buy the book. But all that work payed off: Many people believed in me and this crazy idea and supported me all the way.
The book is on a beautiful exhibition at the Bronx Library Center, the printed books are on their way, and I hope to get them on time so everyone can read them for the Holidays.
From the bottom of our hearts. THANK YOU
Last Friday we had the opening reception of the first exhibition of the book. I printed the Spanish version with subtitles in English. It was great to see people I haven't seen in a while and show everyone on what I've been working so hard lately! Thank you to everyone who made it and to the library because those women are incredible.
This Friday I will be opening my first ever exhibition with the completed book, printed in foam boards in Spanish, with English translation. It will be up for a month at the Bronx Library Center next to Poe Park, where the Poe Cottage lives.
This is very exciting and I invite everyone to come and visit the show.
If you can't I will be scheduling some kind of live event form the library to read the book and show you how it looks!
